What an opportune time to gather this Christmas Eve! For parents - bread baking time is equivalent to family time, because there will always be a rewarding experience at the end of it. For children - application of chemistry concepts in real life. We shall let them mix the ingredients together, and that is when the magic begins...

And because 2018 will be coming to an end soon, we cannot resist the urge to share with parents the importance of reinforcing their kids' skills, knowledge as well as values during this school holiday season. It will be a power packed session, so can't wait for it to happen!

Baking Time with Father

Recently I take every opportunity to speak about my father in presentations, probably with the hope of wanting to cling on to all the dear memories I could possible remember. He may be the type of dad who was constantly disengaged, present and yet absent at the same time, which did not matter to me at any point of time. However his commitment towards his work and his clients has never failed to dazzle me, and for that I'm his biggest fan.

Today as we venture out with Khubz, we start to connect with the new age dads. They are positive influencers in their children's lives, shaping every unique individuals like no other; they choose spending time with family over pursuing temporal gains of life. Our busy society needs to hear of such loving fatherly roles now more than ever.

Therefore we raise bread in a 'toast' to all of you who have been such an inspiration to your children and even to others.
                               Happy Father's Day!

Bread can be more than just an everyday food. It displays a message during shared consumption, it also serves as a reminder of the resurrection relating to Easter. Then through a more in depth study of the bread, we can even be connected to the recorded history on manna the miracle food.

We need to find solidarity in making bread. Industrial revolution has alienated societies from bread making, so much so that we lose touch with the richness of the bread's story. However we can participate and be part of a revolution to regain our bodies and minds; by rebuilding connections : between the flour and the loaf, between the baker and the consumer, etc.

Then as we celebrate Easter Sunday, another food that comes to our mind which is closely associated with this tradition is the egg. In fact long before this tradition, eggs have already been used as a symbol of rebirth.

Anyway we think that the bread and eggs are a perfect match for a nutritious breakfast.

Happy Easter everyone!
Showcasing the versatility of bread making during the festive period was one of Khubz's purposes. It was even inspiring to listen to their thoughts where creativity was concerned as our guests experimented with different designs for their bread.

We are into the month of Feb and fast approaching CNY; so it's really exciting to launch a pop up event specially for parents or caregivers who may be looking to have something special to do on the 2nd day of  this CNY, but yet still need to be there for their young active ones.
So come on over to Khubz's experiential baking event and spend a unique morning during this festive holiday!

Being certified food handlers ourselves, it will be an awesome opportunity to share and discuss during our events on how to handle and store food for babies or young kids safely. It will even be a greater joy if participants can then pass on this knowledge on the basic of food safety and hygiene to their other caregivers or whoever may be cooking for the little ones.
